Gary became the worship pastor at Petra in September 2005. He has been leading worship at the church since 2001. In 2000, Gary received his Bachelor’s degree in General Ministries and the Bible from Lancaster Bible College. He plays the guitar, trumpet, bass guitar, piano, and drums. It is Gary’s desire that people come to a true understanding of what worship is, apart from music. Gary feels called to write songs for the church that are rich in theology, and can draw people closer to God. Some of the songs he has written for times of worship include "God is On Our Side", "So Lovely", "Follow", "He is Lord of All", "The Name of Jesus", and "The Intercession Song". Gary and his wife Maria were married in 2000, and they have three young children.
