To train leaders, provide Bible teachings, and embrace the poor
Trip Details
"I’ve been praying for something like this for years!” one pastor said as he received the materials we offered him.
J.C. serves as the Africa Director of Agape Association of Bible Schools (AABS) which is a branch of ministry under Agape Gospel Mission. AABS provides a variety of services at an affordable price for the churches in Africa, so they can operate a Bible School in their church or village. We print and provide 48 Bible training courses, which total 680 instructional hours. We also prvide many documents, a booklet of information, a yearly equipping conference, advice and frequent encouragement to assist their Bible School. Smiles break out on the pastor’s faces as they receive the materials which are so desperately needed.
There are currently 124 schools affiliated with AABS, all of which are owned and run by the nationals. The majority of these schools are in Ghana and Nigeria with a few in Liberia, Togo and Benin.
Lois and the children help at Agape Children’s Home (ACH), which currently has 85 true orphans. Lois serves as Academic Director at Agape Academy whose 90 students are primarily the children from ACH. Andrea and Kyle also attend this school.
J.C. and Lois Ebersole and family are stationed in Accra, the capital city of Ghana, West Africa. They are sent by Petra Christian Fellowship and Eastern Mennonite Missions to work with Agape Gospel Mission (AGM). AGM’s vision is to train leaders, provide systematic Bible teachings and embrace the poor. Along wtih AABS and ACH they also have three other tyes of ministry.
Prayer Requests
Praise:
1. God blessed us with a great conference; our best one to date!
2. Andrea had a fun time at our church youth conference in July.
3. God is in control!!
Concerns:
1. Pray for refreshment during our time in the States.
2. At the request of our director, we will likely move AABS to be under another organization in order to enhance its growth. Pray for wisdom and discernment as we meet with many people and process this transition during our furlough.
